Pax Momentum Announces New Partnerships

May 14, 2020- Pax Momentum is pleased to announce a partnership with its first two successful entrepreneurs from Washington D.C. and Salt Lake City to help current startups grow, excel, and find their momentum. Chris Spanos, CEO and Founder of Urgent.ly, Inc and Darren Lee, Founder and CEO of NextPage, will offer expert one-on-one advice and help refine the entrepreneurs’ strategies. The executives understand some of the most successful companies in American history were launched during economic downturns and are thrilled to give back to the startup community during this challenging time.

Pax Momentum is a newly launched startup accelerator inviting early-stage companies primarily outside of Silicon Valley to join its eight-week program. The cohort includes a $50,000 equity investment, mentorship, and other valuable resources to help acquire customers and raise significant rounds of capital. Pax Momentum was founded by Matt Hanson, a successful entrepreneur and early angel investor in some of the most quickly growing private companies in the United States including NS8 and Urgent.ly. 

About The Mentors: 

Chris Spanos is a successful CEO based in Washington, D.C. with 25 years of experience in the development and management of consumer and technology businesses. Spanos is the CEO and Co-founder of Urgent.ly, which is the leading Global Mobility and Roadside Assistance Platform. Urgent.ly ranked twelve on the 2019 Inc. 5,000 list of fastest-growing private companies in the country. Spanos has worked with both large and startup companies and turned around operations within both public and privately held companies. “I’m incredibly excited at the opportunity to be able to partner with Pax Momentum and Matt Hanson to give back to the startup community that I’m fortunate to have been a part of throughout my career,” said Spanos. 

Darren Lee is based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Lee is Executive Vice President and General Manager of ProofPoint’s Compliance and Digital Risk Unit. ProofPoint is a $7 Billion Cyber Security Corporation. Darren was the Founder and CEO of NextPage, which he successfully sold to ProofPoint. Lee is also a member of the Board of Directors for Element Renewables, a company focused on building remote power grids and developing renewable biomass energy sources in the Philippines. “Entrepreneurs and start-ups are a key part in the economic recovery process following COVID-19. Start-ups will help create jobs and are the future of the economy”, said Lee. 

How to Apply:
